Position description
We are looking for a Platform Director to contribute to the growth of our Platform ecosystem that consists of ERPs, TMS, WMS, IMS, and Retail/Ecom /Accounting Software. You will be responsible for and lead all aspects of the business development cycle: sourcing strategic accounts, negotiating deals, and managing the partnership for the first year.
About You
- Fascinated by Product Discussions, but comfortable carrying a quota
- Enjoy developing and maintaining effective working relationships and cross-functional communication across multiple partners and internal stakeholders
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the partnership and deal process, managing each step from strategy/planning, pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, terms negotiation, contract drafting, and implementation.
- Build relationships with executives at key partnership companies, and leverage relationships to uncover and pursue growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with partners and marketing to execute high impact partner marketing campaigns and develop collateral.
- Work with product management and engineering to define partner driven product initiatives that will help expand volume and growth.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of business development experience in a technology company with a strong preference towards someone with experience in Logistics/Retail/EDI.
- Extensive experience in enterprise sales and strategic partnerships.
- A strong problem solver with outstanding relationship management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communicator via phone, email, and presentation to articulate value proposition, technical value, and financial impact.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills in deals involving multiple stakeholders, with the ability to persevere through long and complex deal processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, and Salesforce.
- Must be assertive, able to work independently and in a cross-functional team, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
Compensation: $176,000 – $210,000 USD base salary depending on experience.
